To celebrate 350 years of remarkable history, the science and technology company hosted a European ceremony. With a team of over 600 helpers, nearly two years of preparation, and countless terabytes of content, the anniversary event took place in Merck’s hometown of Darmstadt. Distinguished guests such as Frank Stangenberg-Haverkamp, Volker Bouffier, and Chancellor Angela Merkel delivered speeches inside a custom-built dome— the second-largest of its kind in the world. A 360-degree staging concept provided the visual and spatial framework for the celebration. As Art & Creative Director, my role was to develop the concept and visual identity for the event.
